KITCHEN REMODEL OVERVIEW
Our clients came to us seeking a new look for their already large sized Northbrook kitchen. We were able to work within the existing footprint, but changed a few things to make the space more functional.
Relocating the refrigerator and flipping the range and sink were critical to making this kitchen flow for our client, Kristina. Placing the cooktop beneath the window was a unique choice, but gave us the opportunity for a focal point with a beautiful custom wood hood.
Adding a coffee bar, a long open countertop for serving space and a separate beverage refrigerator makes this kitchen ready for entertaining. We kept the kitchen bright by using a painted white inset cabinet, but brought in warmth and texture with a distressed island complete with rustic oversized pendants, a concrete sink and a one of a kind granite countertop.

BEFORE THE KITCHEN REMODEL

KITCHEN DESIGN CONCEPT

We wanted to create a fun, functional design for this young family that was both classic, yet current. We opted for a variety of different tones and textures throughout our materials to add visual interest from top to bottom. While we wanted the kitchen to feel light and bright, we also knew we didn’t want to stick with the common white kitchen. A soft gray painted cabinet kept the kitchen open and bright.
We fell in love with Riverrock stain and felt it was a great pairing with the perimeter cabinets. We also added texture, color and pattern throughout the countertop, marble backsplash and decorative range inlay. Black light fixtures and hardware were the perfect compliment to pull the entire space together.
DURING THE KITCHEN REMODEL

Here you can see the kitchen renovation at the midway point. The wall has been removed, the HVAC relocated, and the rough electrical is in place. What a tidy job site.
